Buying Manager

Fantastic opportunity to join an established FMCG business as the Buying Manager. You will be responsible for 2 direct reports but will be expected to oversee some of the work from other members of the team from time to time. This is a hands on role, involving a pro-active and positive Buying professional.
Duties include:
* All round management of Buying strategy, working closely with the Directors
* Management of and delegation to the team
* Monitoring stock, reporting, analysis
* Transactional Buying duties
* Maintaining good working relationships with all suppliers
* Spotting and recommending ways to improve processes
To be successful, you will be/have:
* A degree at 2:1 or 1:1 level
* Proven experience working as a Buyer in an FMCG manufacturing role
* A proven track record in controlling expenditure
* A detailed knowledge of capital expenditure and strategic sourcing
* Commercially astute, with the ability to analyse, find and present solutions.
* An excellent communicator with first rate interpersonal skills
* Advanced Excel and analysis skills
