This Job Has Expired! This advert has now been deleted by the advertiser, the details below are for information only.

We are searching for a Housing Triage Officer to join the local council offices providing key support within the Housing Team, triaging Housing applications.

Although the vast majority of office based Council employees are currently working from home, to due to the current Covid-19 situation, we have been asked to start the search for this position, pending matters returning to a more normal situation, which we hope will be sooner, rather than later.

There is some degree of flexibility in terms of the ideal candidate for this position, but we are most definitely looking for someone within a common sense approach and not necessarily from a strong and consistent Housing background, although any knowledge of housing regulations, some idea of Tenancy Notice to Quit could be helpful as would any knowledge of homelessness.

It is felt that someone from an Enforcement/ex-Forces background could be of interest, although again that is not set in stone.

However, you must also be empathetic to the needs of the customers, as part of the position will be customer facing within the Housing Department reception area.

You will be working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, within a friendly and professional team where on the job training and support with Housing enquiries can be provided, for the right person.

In terms of the duration, the role could be fairly long term temporary, ie 6 months plus.

Hourly rate - flexible but circa £11.30+ per hour, depending on experience.

If you feel you could apply yourself to the requirements of the role, please email an up to date CV and provide any supporting information you feel may be helpful.
