This is a newly created position for a fast-growing energy supplier and would suit a driven candidate with previous management experience and a focus on long-term customer retention.

They are looking to make the strategic appointment of a Credit Manager with responsibility for the payments and collections team. A role which needs a rare combination of talents. You will need to be understanding but firm, imaginative and persuasive and always focussed on the right outcome.

As Credit Manager, you will be responsible for:
• Rapidly identifying subscribers with potential payment issues
• Speaking to them to resolve the situation and bring accounts up to date
• Providing a range of payment methods and plans
• Following up and retaining subscribers
• Ensuring that customer reviews remain positive
• Escalating to a debt collection agency if necessary
• Supporting and developing your team
• Reporting regularly to the senior management team

Initially, managing a small team, this role has scope for further development. The role would suit a confident individual with previous experience in credit control. A good understanding of office systems, dunning processes, and email and phone communications is required.
