An opportunity has arisen for a nursery manager to join and lead our community nursery
We are recruiting someone to manage the day to day running of Sevenoaks Day Nursery, responsible to the Board of Trustees, supported by a team of nursery staff as well as a Finance and HR Manager, who will ensure the long-term objectives of the charity are met.
At Sevenoaks Day Nursery, we believe that all children should have the space and opportunity to flourish and learn. We aim to provide a kind and safe environment in which parents may leave their children, knowing that they will be given opportunities to thrive and develop as part of a caring setting.
We pride ourselves on being a value driven nursery that is set aside form many others by the level of support we provide within our local community. Examples of the support provided by the nursery include:
• Support (where practical) for parents who need ad-hoc childcare to attend hospital appointments or a job interview
• Free childcare to support families in difficulty due to, for example, serious illness
• Emergency support for families experiencing issues around domestic violence

This position will be based in our new nursery building, with up to 45 places ranging from 8 weeks to school age. The nursery also offers school holiday club for children up to age 11.
The ideal candidate will be confident and experienced in various areas of childcare and development, operations and administration, leading a team, promoting strong professional relationships and passionate about our Nursery values and charitable objectives. Our requirements include:
• L3 or above in a recognised UK Childcare qualification
• Ability to work as an ambassador for the nursery within the community
• Management experience, ideally within a similar setting
• The ability to empower a team to adopt new ideas and best practice
• Extensive knowledge of the EYFS
• Great communication skills and passion for working with young children
• Proven track record of being part of a team that have achieved a minimum of 'GOOD' in an OFSTED inspection
