This is an exciting opportunity to join an established team delivering Children and Young People services and bring our successful SAFE project to secondary schools. SAFE is an innovative mental health and suicide prevention programme which supports young people to recognise the signs of mental health in themselves and peers, empower them to talk about their feelings and ask for help and also establish peer support networks and build resilience. You will lead and manage the implementation of the programme within local schools, build resilience, reduce stigma and promote wider school-based mental health initiatives. Young People are at the heart of the SAFE programme and you will support and train older students to become SAFE ambassadors in their schools, enabling them to set up SAFE spaces and offer peer-to-peer support. You will build local networks, working collaboratively with partner agencies; and plan and deliver SAFE events. You can make the difference for now and the future.
This post holder will be based in east Kent so a Car Driver essential.
