Kitchen Porter

Port Lympne Hotel & Reserve, in conjunction with the Aspinall Foundation, is a charity-based organisation committed to protecting rare and endangered animals from extinction through captive breeding and reintroduction programmes. The parks are home of one of the world’s most prized wild animal collections and are one of the biggest visitor attractions in Kent.

At Port Lympne Hotel & Reserve we are recruiting Kitchen Porters to work in the varied restaurants, situated around the unique grounds of the Wild Animal Park.

Duties include:
• General washing up of pots and pans
• General cleaning
• Sweeping and mopping at the end of every service
• Emptying the bins
• Maintenance of the floor during service (sweeping)
• Assisting in closing scrub down at the end of every service
• Maintenance of the steps and area to the rear of the kitchen

With an immediate start, the work is flexible covering mornings, afternoons, evenings and will include weekends. Salary is in line with national minimum/living wage.

Ideally you will be calm under pressure, able to work on your own initiative and able to deliver a high standard of service. A reliable form of transport would be essential due to the remote location of Port Lympne Hotel & Reserve
