Our client are a leading aerospace manufacturing business based in the Borough of Maidstone and they are seeking to appoint an experienced Materials Controller.
The role will see you being responsible for the control of the stores function, receiving materials through to despatch of parts. You will issue materials to the production line, raise purchase orders, where appropriate inspect goods and control stock allocation and prepare monthly reporting of stock levels.
From time to time the successful person needs to be capable of deputising for the Supply Chain lead and be confident to speak to and manage suppliers.
Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, you will be effective in managing the flow of materials into the business and managing the relationships, internally and externally to maximise the efficiency of this.
Ideal candidates will have experience within a precision engineering manufacturing business and hold a strong understanding of MRP and/or ERP and stock control. A valid FLT licence would be of benefit.
