You’ll need a minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Warehouse Manager with a proven ability to implement warehouse management procedures, best practices & improvements. Our team is small but hardworking and keen to learn, so you must be someone who leads by example, whilst being able to develop & encourage everyone to take ownership of their own role.

The Role!
To oversee the Warehouse Operation, ensuring the warehouse operates at peak efficiency with customer satisfaction being the primary goal, by supervising, organising, directing and training warehouse employees and establishing and monitoring operational goals.

Manging a team of 3-4 daily operatives working alongside the Goods–In Co-ordinator.
Ensure the department is operating efficiently by continuous review of improvements e.g. effective space utilisation.
To create, plan and enforce efficient operational working, following company policies.
To maintain standards of Health and Safety, Hygiene and Security.
As part of the management team you will be responsible for presenting and adhering to your own budgets for your department.
Recruit, train and manage the warehouse team to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short and long term performance goals.
Planning of work rotas, assign tasks appropriately and appraise results.
Motivate, organise and encourage team. Work within the workforce to ensure productivity targets are met or exceeded.
Brief departmental managers on a daily basis.
Receive feedback and monitor quality of services provided by your department.
It is critical that the you will have a clear understanding of the company’s policies and vision and how the warehouse contributes to these.
Plan future capacity requirements.

Daily and monthly responsibilities
Supervise daily activities of the warehouse, including quality assurance, stock control, space management, floor productivity and customer service.
Ensure the department are adhering to company policies in relation to quality and minimum dates of product being sent to customers.
To manage the quality of work to maximise efficiency and minimise overtime.

Requirements
Proven work experience as a warehouse manager; minimum 3 years’ experience required.
Ability to work with all levels of company staff.
Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices.
Proven ability to implement process improvement indicatives.
Strong knowledge of warehousing KPI’s.
Leadership skills and ability to manage and develop staff.
Strong decisions making and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills.
Reach Truck and Counterbalance folk lift licence preferred.
