Burtons has an expansive range of manufacturing capabilities to include sheet metal work, CNC machining, plastic fabrication, PCB and wiring loom assembly, wood shop and final assembly and testing. We design and manufacture a range of medical and veterinary equipment which is sold in the UK and exported worldwide.
Due to increased sales we have a new vacancy for a plastic welder and fabricator to work polypropylene, using simple hot air welding techniques.
Experience or similar would be useful, but full training can be offered to the right person with good general practical skills.
The Production Operative position is to assist in the busy plastic manufacturing and fabrication workshop reporting to the Production Manager/Area Supervisor.
Responsibilities & Duties
Work from engineering drawings, sketches or specifications
Observe and follow company safety rules and regulations
Produce products constructed from box sections and sheets of varying thickness from 3mm to 9mm and finished to a high standard
Inspect structures or materials to be worked Maintain equipment and machinery
Qualifications & Skills
Must have experience in Manufacturing and/or Engineering experience
Good attention to detail
Self-motivation
Good communication
Good timekeeping
Overtime available at peak production times.
Salary £20,000 to £27,000 p.a. dependant on experience.
Immediate start available for suitable candidate.
