Mission Aviation Fellowship (MAF) is a unique Christian charity using aircraft to deliver help and hope across the developing world. MAF transports patients, relief workers, produce, medical supplies and Christian workers in the world’s remotest regions and places of deepest human need – places where flying is not a luxury but a lifeline. We operate in over 30 countries with over 130 planes.
To continue our life saving work, we have undergone and continue to undergo considerable change. Within the learning and development team, we are implementing models and working with greater efficiency to meet our organisational priorities. This presents significant challenges – ensuring that the voice of members of our organisation is actively listened to, both in terms of personal and organisational development. We now require a Learning and Development Coordinator to join us in assisting the learning and development team with implementing new strategies.

The role of Learning and Development Coordinator is crucial to the delivery of quality learning opportunities within MAF for staff at all levels. You will be at the forefront of administrating a new learning management system (LMS) and be responsible for training staff on how to find effective training materials. Ensuring the development and maintenance of robust learning, you will manage all related correspondence and respond to service enquiries.

You will also be responsible for the coordination and administration of a range of learning and development projects as directed by the learning and development manager. You will provide support by delivering proactive, responsive learning and development activities. You will ensure that the credibility of the learning and development department is upheld, promoting positivity and be an advocate for continuous learning.

Applications are invited from candidates with experience in designing learning materials, proficiency with using Microsoft office especially excel. You will be capable of working with people at all levels and have the ability to manage, coordinate and complete projects on time. You will have the ability to communicate effectively across geographic and cultural boundaries and be able to proof read documents.

There is an occupational requirement for the job holder to be a committed Christian who is able to agree with and promote the Christian ethos and beliefs of MAF. The job holder will be expected to take part in and lead prayer and biblical reflection, and to be a role model for the organisation in accordance with our Christian beliefs and standards in the workplace.

The closing date for applications is Friday 31st January 2020 and interviews will take place on Wednesday 19th February- Friday 21st February 2020 at our Ashford office.
