Could you manage our Hospice Day Service to help and empower people to live well?

Hospice in the Weald is about celebrating life and dignifying death. Hospice Day Service is focused on the wellbeing of those that attend and has a very committed team of staff and volunteers.

This post will give you an exciting opportunity to make a real difference to patients, families and carers and the chance to offer a holistic approach to care.

As part of the Hospice Day Service Leadership Team you will help to promote empowerment and engagement with patients, family members and carers.

You will play a key role in the daily operational management of the HDS which is supported by over 100 volunteers, working collaboratively with other members of the Hospice Day Service Leadership Team and with internal and external colleagues to ensure the service runs in an effective and efficient way.

You will ensure that HDS is a space that empowers patients, family members and carers including end of life care and care after death. You will manage the volunteer transport services and liaise with clinical teams to ensure requests for support are dealt with promptly and efficiently. You will ensure that HDS has a full establishment of volunteers for the various teams within HDS. You will also represent HDS at multidisciplinary meetings.
You will have experience of managing a team with excellent communication and ICT skills with a passion to make a real difference to patients, families and carers.

You will be joining the HDS Team at a very exciting time as we embark on a building extension (‘Foundations for the Future’ project) that will open and expand our current space.
