Southborough Town Council is looking to recruit a Groundsperson to help maintain and care for the areas of land and play areas under its control. The person will be required to work as part of a team and be prepared to be very adaptable as this varied job will require.
A full driving licence is essential, as is experience in this type of work, which includes play equipment safety, ground and buildings maintenance, together with the use of tools and machinery such as, hedge trimmers, mowers etc. Some on the job training will be provided. Relevant qualifications in pesticides and chain saw work would also be an advantage. This position is for 37 hours per week, with 22 days holiday. Salary will be £19,171 (SCP 6) with a review being carried out after a six month probation period.
