I am looking for a Facilities Manager for a 3 month contract to start as soon as possible for a company I am currently working with near Dover.
Working across 12 sites throughout the UK, in this varied role you will be a vital part of the management of support services. Reporting to the Head of Facilities and OHS, you will be responsible for all day-to-day aspects of site security, maintenance and services of premises to ensure they meet the needs of the organisation and its staff.
Main Duties:
- Implement and review that necessary risk assessments, procedure and checks are in place
- Plan and manage facilities services to ensure consistently high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, upkeep and safety of the buildings and premises and coordinate with providers of premises managed by others to ensure the same
- Manage facilities moves, refurbishments and maintenance work undertaken on the premises
- Prepare, track and regularly report on facility related budgets, finances, contracts, expenditures and purchases
- Review heating, electricity and water usage, advising senior stakeholders on proposals for energy saving methods
- Manage the Health and Safety Committee, investigation of accidents and reviewing compliance with health and safety policies
You will have demonstrable experience in facilities management, including contract management, procurement, continuity planning and management of maintenance programmes
You will have a proven track record of leading facilities management
You will demonstrate an excellent understanding of Health & Safety legislation (including ISO 45001) & statutory compliance, with budget management experience. Ideally you will be a Member of British Institute of Facilities Management (BIFM) and/or IOSH qualified
Fire warden trained is also desirable
A willingness to travel to regional offices is required
