Stores Worker - Orpington - Up to £23,500
My client a leading supplier is seeking a Stores Worker to join there expanding team based in Orpington. This role will be on a 3-month fixed term contract and the salary will be up to £23,500.
Key duties include:
* Receiving items through goods inwards, verifying the contents for quantity, quality and damage
* Communicate frequently with the planning and buying team on priorities
* Serving assembly and workshop staff over the stores counter, interrogating the computer system, locating items and completing the relevant paperwork
* Packing and dispatching goods to subcontractors and customers. Completion and production of dispatch documentation in line with current export requirements
* To carry out any other duties that may be required from time to time.
The successful candidate will possess:
* Good knowledge of MS windows and experience within a computerised environment
* A high level of numeric accuracy and familiarity with electrical and mechanical components
* Fork-lift truck license and experience
* Able to carry out light lifting duties and comply with environmental policies and practices
