Your new role
Provide strong business partnering support: clear strategic financial leadership, delivering robust operational and financial management whilst improving cost effectiveness. Support & challenge senior managers and budget holders through regular meetings to re-design services & processes to improve quality of service in a financially sustainable manner. Ensure all financial modelling is consistent. Manage end of month & end of year activities. Oversee budgets and be lead finance support to annual operating plan.
What you'll need to succeed
A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA). Communicate complex financial information to financial & non-financial managers in a manner most suited to audience, including statistical & graphical as well as verbal & written. Handle complex & potentially sensitive issues. Experience of working in a complex financial environment, developing business cases & short/medium-term plans. High level analytical skills with large amounts of complex data. Perform or interrogate option appraisals linking financial impact to plan objectives & assessment of value for money.
