This successful site employs c230 people and specialises in the design and manufacture of a diverse range of connectors and interconnect products for a highly demanding customer base in the Aerospace, Military and Industrial sectors.
Poised for further growth, and investment, we are now seeking to recruit a Sales Coordinator who will help deliver unrivalled levels of excellence. The successful applicant will be an integral part of the Amphenol team, dealing with all external and internal customer requests in a polite, efficient and professional manner, whilst maintaining platinum customer service at all times. They will be responsible for up selling, cross selling and generating leads for existing and new business and servicing customers to fulfil their requirements.
Key Responsibilities include:
*Establishing and building strong customer relationships, in order to deliver excellent levels of customer service
*Using the systems and tools available, prepare all customer quotations whether direct/Resale/Export etc within set KPI’s
*Proactive quote follow-up and negotiate where required
*Understanding the commercial pricing structures
*Liaising with Commercial, Product Group Managers, Procurement and any other supporting departments, to build accurate pricing and lead
times
*Processing customer orders within set KPI’s
*Progressing orders through to shipment using the systems/tools and supporting departments to achieve this
*Proactive communication with the customer throughout the quotation and order life cycle
*Proactively review, investigate and escalate customer complaints where applicable
*Acquiring technical product experience with a willingness to understand the Amphenol product offer. Process basic technical queries along
with the ability to understand Amphenol Group products, competition products, and various specifications
*Assisting with external sales requirements relating to Customer and ordering information
*Understanding customer markets and ensuring any market intelligence is passed to the relevant Amphenol contact
*Interfacing between customers and other functions within the organisation to provide service to new and existing customers, and makes
relevant business decisions for Route to Market
*Identifying new sales opportunities and acting on them accordingly or passing them to the relevant Amphenol contact
Essential Competencies/Qualities include:
*Customer focused with a rive to deliver excellence to our customers
*Clear communicator with the ability to influence effectively
*Strong in organisation and prioritisation
*Problem solver with the ability to think on their feet
*Eagerness to grow Product/Service knowledge
*Excellent telephone manner
Essential Skills/Experience include:
*GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths, Grade C or above
*Customer Service and Account Management (customer enquires, quotations, managing the order process and shipments, etc)
*Experience interfacing between customers and other functions within the organisation to provide service to new and existing customers
*Experience building up new and existing relationships with both internal and external customers
*Experience making relevant business decisions for Route to Market, with technical product experience
*Ability to read and understand catalogues and drawings, pricing and price variances, contracts and margins
*Proficient in pricing and margin calculations
*PC literacy, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
*Second language desirable but not essential
