Home-Start Medway is a local family support charity based in Gillingham, Kent. Home-Start volunteers help families with young children deal with the challenges they face such as post-natal depression; isolation; physical and mental health problems; bereavement. Our volunteers support parents as they learn to cope, improve their confidence and build better lives for their children.
We are looking to appoint a Scheme Manager based at our site in Gillingham. You will be responsible for ensuring high standards of practice in supporting families; provide leadership and management to a team of staff & volunteers, and be responsible for the day to day operation of the scheme.
Key Skills:
Minimum of three years’ experience of managing services to vulnerable client groups.
Proven fundraising experience.
Experience of providing direction, leadership and motivating a team
Good working knowledge and understanding of Health & Safety.
Knowledge of the voluntary sector, safeguarding children and the ability to project manage is required.
Benefits include:

All appointments are subject to proof of eligibility to work in the UK; enhanced check with the Disclosure and Barring Service and two satisfactory references.
