Are you ready for a great job in a media, events and publishing company?

Bell Publishing is looking for a bright, motivated and well-organised Digital Editor to work across six websites and digital platforms for its international food and packaging b2b magazine titles.

With incredible attention to detail and endless amounts of energy and initiative, you will have experience in an editorial and/or marketing web-based role. You will be responsible for uploading daily content and keeping the websites fresh and current. You will send out five weekly e-newsletters, manage the social media accounts for each title, and report on data analytics.
Located within the Editorial Department, you will work closely with the editors on each magazine. There is also scope for travel to press events, and feature writing opportunities.

Working across a range of titles means you will have excellent organizational and time-management skills and will be able to stay calm under pressure. You will have a good grasp of digital marketing, Google Analytics and SEO, excellent writing and proof-reading skills and attention to detail.

Main tasks include:
Writing and editing high quality web content.
Sourcing and editing images.
Keeping static pages fresh.
Engaging with followers across social media (Tweetdeck, Twitter, LinkedIn and Instagram) answering comments, moderating posts, generating discussion topics etc.
Liaising closely with editorial and sales teams and coming up with new ideas to increase web traffic and revenue across the sites.
Monitoring and preparing monthly reports on web data analytics and newsletter statistics.
Implementing SEO.
Maintaining newsletter contact lists.
Uploading content and images to newsletter software.
Working with newsletter software on split testing and other functionality to improve open and click-through rates.
Regularly contributing new ideas to ensure an efficient customer journey across all websites.

The successful applicant will have:
A proactive and problem-solving attitude and will demonstrate initiative and resourcefulness.
A thorough approach, with excellent attention to detail.
Excellent writing and proof-reading skills.
A background in journalism/digital marketing.
Awareness of the principles of good social media communication.
Knowledge of Wordpress and email marketing software eg Adestra/Mailchimp/dotmailer
Knowledge of Adobe Creative suite is an advantage – e.g Photoshop, Indesign and Acrobat Pro
Some knowledge of html coding is an advantage.

This is a full time, office-based role and you must live within commuting distance of Gravesend. Valid passport required for international travel.
