Opportunities for Income Recovery Officers have arisen within our Income Team.
As part of the Income Team, you will work closely with our tenants on a daily basis, to maximise the income from rents, service charges and other monies due by prompt and appropriate action to minimise arrears and non-payment. Also working closely with partners such as the DWP, East Kent Services and Kent County Council in order to ensure Universal Credit, Housing Benefit and the necessary welfare benefits are in payment.
May be required to work from any office in the East Kent Housing area.
Essential Requirements:
- The ability to build effective relationships with their own team and other teams within EKH and local councils.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Excellent IT skills including word and excel.
- The ability to communicate effectively with customers.
- Strong organisational skills.
- The ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- A good understanding of housing, debt, tenancy and Welfare Benefits would be preferable.
