Venrec are pleased to be recruiting on behalf of our client a very well established IT support business based in Maidstone, Kent. Our client has been established for over 30 years and has been growing consistently during that time. They are now looking to add a Business Development Manager to their growing team.
The successful candidate should have a proven track history in specifying and selling IT support, infrastructure solutions, managed services, network infrastructure, data centre and business continuity services to SME and public sector clients. They will be required to generate both new name business opportunities and develop existing accounts.
The key requirement of this role is the ability to quickly understand and recommend the correct solution for each business requirement, whilst adhering to the prescribed company sales practices, procedures and performance targets.

The role entails;
• Generating new business through direct prospecting through marketing campaigns and appropriately using networking techniques.
• Working closely with the marketing manager on email and phone campaigns, face to face meetings and presentations
• Understanding the requirements of existing and prospective customers, though regularly maintaining contact and ensuring that the best quality service is delivered
• Ongoing management and development of existing customers
• Ensuring that all opportunities are dealt within a professional and timely manner
• Generating accurate and timely quotations/proposals and producing a formal written response to tenders RFPs, etc.
• Ensuring that all quotations and proposals are followed up within a timely manner
• Achieving hard and soft monthly, quarterly and annual targets
This role would suit a business development manager who is looking for an opportunity to grow and thrive within a supportive work environment.
The salary for this role is up to £45,000 plus commission depending on experience
