Full Time Warehouse Assistant required for immediate start
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £20,592 per annum (before tax)
We have an opportunity for an experienced Warehouse Assistant to join our fast growing, fine food wholesale business based in Rochester, Kent. This role will be on a full time, permanent basis (after completion of a successful probation period). You will receive a starting salary of £20,592 per annum plus 28 days paid holiday (including the 8 UK bank holidays).
Auguste Noel Limited was founded in 2004 and since has established itself as one of the U.K. leading suppliers of fine food and drink. We supply independent Delicatessen’s, Farm Shops and Fine Food stores within London and the South of England.
As a Warehouse Assistant you will provide support in the warehouse such as picking orders and loading vans, adhering to health and safety rules and working well as part of a team.
Key responsibilities for this role;
- Loading and unloading of goods, whilst maintaining corresponding documents.
- Picking orders
- Stock control
- Stock rotation
- General warehouse duties
- Ensure that a visual check of the goods being loaded is made, and the order is complete in accordance with a loading inventory
- Assist with order picking and van loading for the day’s deliveries
- Ensure the administrative procedures are followed and records maintained
- Ensure that health and safety rules and legislation are complied with
The ideal candidate will have counterbalance forklift experience and full UK drivers licence without endorsements and a history of reliable employment.
The candidate must be literate with good English language skills, along with a clean and presentable appearance.
The candidate must have good punctuality, excellent organisational skills, must be able to lift safely and repetitively throughout the day, able to work well as part of a team, able to work unsupervised and must be able to communicate well with others within the company and also with customers.
Working hours are approximately 6.30*am to 3.30*pm Monday - Friday. (*can be subject to change).
