Business Development Manager, South Region (Norfolk, down to Cornwall and everything in between)

£35,000 - £40,000 + Commission (between £10,000 - £20,000 per annum)

Are you an experienced Business Development Manager with previous experience in the civils and construction industries?

We are working with a company that supplies products into the Construction Industry; Tier 1 Contractors and Local Authorities. They are currently looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to develop new and existing business across the South of the UK.

This is a home-based role and the general rule of thumb is that you'll work from your home office on a Monday and a Friday and then be out on the road Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

Duties:

* To proactively follow up leads and new business opportunities
* Regularly follow up with both new and existing clients through visits and cold calling
* Present company products with the highest level of enthusiasm
* Prepare quotations alongside the purchasing and engineering departments
* Develop a strong knowledge of all products
* Work alongside the Marketing Manager in developing and maintaining a strong customer base
* Prepare and attend monthly sales meetings and complete sales forecasts to hand to the Commercial Manager on a monthly basis.

The right candidate will have:

* Experience selling to the construction industry, ideally Tier 1 contractors and/or Local Authorities
* Specification sales experience
* Exceptional interpersonal skills demonstrated by a proven track record in developing effective relationships in a similar role
* A strong work ethic with high levels of self-motivation
