A great opportunity has arisen for a self-motivated individual to join our in-house IT team as soon as possible. This role will be based at our head office in Canterbury.
Direction Law currently employs in excess of 150 people over four sites: Canterbury, London, Wells and Birmingham. Due to our continued success we are going through an exciting period of expansion and are looking for a passionate IT professional who wishes to be a part of this.
Last year we completed around 8,000 conveyancing transactions and rely heavily on our case management system (Tikit – Partner for Windows) to enable us to do so efficiently. We are in the process of upgrading to the latest version of this software and wish to make use of new functionality. This entails re-writing our existing workflows as well as creating new workflows. We also need to extract data from our case management system (which is based on the SQL platform) into reports which filter through to Excel for ease of use and manipulation by our staff.
Ideally you will have at least 1-2 years’ experience in a similar IT environment, be an exceptional communicator, understand and manage client expectations, and be polite and punctual. You will be very comfortable in using SQL and have an excellent understanding of Excel. It would also be an advantage to have previously worked on a legal case management system.
You will be working alongside our Managing Partner to understand our operational practices and help to automate processing and create effective workflows in our Case Management System, so attention to detail is an absolute must.
You should be proficient in, but not limited to:
Windows 7 to 10
Office 2010 - 2016/365
Advanced User in Microsoft Excel
Knowledge of Crystal Reports
SQL Syntax
Being able to self-manage and work independently on assignments
Previous experience within the legal sector (IT Support / Case Management) would be advantageous, but not essential.
For the right person we are able to offer a competitive salary plus benefits package. So, if you are looking for a new challenge or career opportunity in a fast paced, growing company with lots of potential for training and promotion and you are confident that you have the right skills to help us with our continued success please send your CV as soon as possible via the apply online button
