My client, a specialist lender, primarily focusing on carefully selected sub-sectors of the mortgage market, are looking for a Mortgage Market Analyst. You will be working within an established team of professionals who will all have a similar skill set and background to yourself, so you will be able to interact with likeminded individuals daily.



In applying for this role, you will have experience in business/market research, 2 years previous experience working within a mortgage related role and have a solid background in financial services. Basic knowledge of mortgage products, Proficient in MS Office applications which include Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint and Level 3 CeMap qualification is essential.



Salary range: £28,000 - £33,000 depending on experience



location: Chatham or Fareham. Since the role is group based there will be an element of travel to the role to ensure that relationships are built.



Hours of work: Monday to Friday from 0900 - 1700 hours (there are times where travel is required so this may mean early starts and potentially late finishes)



Key Requirements:

* Assist the Group Mortgage Product Manager with development of the mortgage proposition for the Group's residential, buy to let and commercial mortgage lending brands
* Update and distribute regular reports on the UK mortgage market
* Promptly respond to ad-hoc requests for market analysis from various internal stakeholders, including senior management
* Identify market trends and opportunities, providing insight and recommendations which lead to product innovation and development
* Work with the Group Mortgage Product Manager to assess the impact of market changes
* Work with the Assistant Mortgage Product Manager to provide context and assessments of the potential impact of changes or new product proposals
* Work with internal teams, and external mortgage brokers and packagers, to gather feedback and intelligence on competitor products, as well as the market view of the Bank's own mortgage proposition
* Write, and occasionally present, product proposals for senior teams, having fully understood who our customers are
* Compliance with the mortgage product governance framework, ensuring activities are aligned to it
* Keep abreast of all regulatory changes within the industry and update the necessary teams of any changes.
* Manage relationships with external agencies, including sourcing systems, to ensure the Bank maximises value and benefits from the data and Regularly attend industry events and roadshows
* Maintain the company's compliance standards and ensure timely completion of all mandatory on-line training modules and attestations.
