Finance Assistant | Medway City Estate | £24 – 26k
Working for a successful, fast paced manufacturing company based on the Medway City Estate, this role sits within a small, friendly finance team. The role is varied and ideally suited to someone who is actively studying towards their AAT or wishing to do so.
Responsibilities will include:
• Set Up and maintain accurate and up to date supplier details
• Encoding and posting Payable invoices to the ledger
• Reconciling the suppliers’ statement ready for payment; dealing with any suppliers’ queries
• Prepare payment run ensuring payments are made within terms and Company Policy
• Maintains accurate and up to date customer details and records
• Obtain and maintain appropriate credit insurance of new and existing customers
• Assist with collection of overdue receivables
• Dealing with customer queries by phone and email
• Undertakes Receivable reconciliations, and compiles collection documentation for legal action
• Reconcile bank accounts daily
• Maintain daily exchange rate files
• Complete VAT returns, EC sales list and Intrastat
• Reconcile GRNI account
• Reconcile Stock account
• Maintain Fixed Asset register
• Aid in the completion of year-end audit, preparing schedules and answering questions
• Any other ad-hoc projects or tasks requested by management
Due to the location of the company, flexible working hours are available.
