5 x Night Shelter Project Workers

Part-time; CatchingLives' Canterbury Community Shelter

Hours: 2 x 13 hour waking night shifts and 1 x 6 hours waking with 7 hour sleep-in paid at a flat rate of £25. The hourly rate for the role is (£9.60 per hour)

Contract type: Fixed term 4 months

Location: Canterbury, East Kent

Closing date: Midday on Friday 8th November 2019

CatchingLives are seeking to employ 5 Project Workers to help run the Canterbury Community Shelter. This is a rolling night shelter that houses the rough sleepers of Canterbury during the winter months. It is a varied, challenging and rewarding job that involves being responsible for the smooth running of the overnight shifts at each of the Church venues, where our clients will be sleeping. You will be in charge of a small team of volunteers and working with vulnerable adults (which include those with mental health and substance misuse issues). Experience with the client group is preferred but not essential, as training will be given. The overnight shift is 13 hours (8pm – 9am). The post is subject to Enhanced DBS checks.
