We at Catchpole and Rye are looking for an exceptional Sales & Marketing Director to join our growing team and be part of our successful national and international bathroom brand. The right person for the job will have a proven track record of driving sales and also a strong understanding of implementing marketing strategies which dovetail to increase, drive forward and maximise sales.
The new team member will be responsible for planning and implementing sales and marketing, both short and long range, targeted toward existing and new markets.
He or She will:
Develop and implement strategic marketing plans, sales plans and forecasts to achieve corporate objectives for products and services.
Develop and manage sales/marketing operating budgets.
Plan and oversee advertising and promotion activities including print, online, electronic media, and direct mail.
Support in developing and recommending product positioning, packaging, and pricing strategy to produce the highest possible long-term market share.
Ensure effective control of marketing results and take corrective action to guarantee that achievement of marketing objectives falls within designated budgets.
Oversee and evaluate market research and adjust marketing strategy to meet changing market and competitive conditions.
Monitor competitor products, sales and marketing activities.
Establish and maintain relationships with industry influencers and key strategic partners and bring to the role an existing and useful set of contacts.
Establish and maintain a consistent corporate image for Catchpole and Rye throughout all product lines, promotional materials, and events.
Direct sales forecasting activities and set performance goals accordingly.
Direct staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop and control sales and marketing programs.
Direct market channel development activity and coordinate sales distribution by establishing sales territories, quotas and goals.
Represent Catchpole and Rye at trade association meetings to promote product.
Meet with key clients, assisting sales representative with maintaining relationships and negotiating and closing deals.
Coordinate liaison between sales department and other sales related units.
Analyse and control expenditures of division to conform to budgetary requirements.
Prepare periodic sales report showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion. Also guide preparation of marketing activity reports and present to management.
Review and analyse sales performances against programs, quotes and plans to determine effectiveness.

You will manage all employees of the sales and marketing departments and will be responsible for the performance, management and hiring of the employees within those departments.
This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. with a degree of flexibility available.
Travel
We have showrooms and sales forces in Fulham, Ashford Kent and Tunbridge Wells and the right candidate will be prepared to travel between the three reporting to and working with the MD who is based in Kent. Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in sales, marketing or business administration or equivalent number of years of experience and/or
• Five (5) years of related experience with progressive management experience.
Salary
Base salary will be based upon experience allied to a lucrative commission structure.
