Little Acorns provides a 52 week safe and nurturing environment with a 24 hour therapeutic curriculum for children that have experienced trauma and disruption in their lives and have experienced previous placement breakdowns. Set within acres of fields, Little Acorns promotes holistic care within a child centred environment.
The objective of our therapeutic curriculum is to enable each child to deal with unresolved separation, loss and often multiple traumatic experiences in a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment. Simultaneously ensuring that as far as possible they maximise and internalise present positive experiences.
Based in Tenterden Kent, the children are aged between 7-14 who have experienced trauma in their early years. You will be required to work as part of a team to support our children in every aspect of their day to day lives within a therapeutic environment to enable them to migrate into foster care and other provisions for their adolescent years.
Candidates would need to cover shifts within a residential rota and all posts are subject to enhanced DBS check. The candidate will have a period of training/shadowing of the current Senior team before they would be required to lead shifts on their own.
The successful applicants will be required to work 42 hours per week, plus sleep in duty's. Experience working in a Therapeutic setting is desired but not essential as full training will be given.
