Interim Management Accountant | Central Maidstone| 35-40K

Cobb & Jones recruitment are working with a successful company based in Central Maidstone who need to immediately recruit a dynamic and experienced Interim Management Accountant to support their Financial Controller and take responsibility for a wide variety of tasks, including the following:

• Production of monthly management accounts in accordance with the month-end timetable
• Variance analysis and preparation of commentary to accompany monthly management accounts
• Review and document current processes within the business and make recommendations to the Financial Controller on how systems/processes can be standardised and improved/streamlined across the business
• Implement and maintain strong financial controls
• Supporting the budgeting process, working closely with the Financial Controller
• Implementation of rolling reforecasts
• Monitor and analyse financial information for projects
• Assist with the year-end audit process to ensure that it runs smoothly
• Provide cover for other roles within the finance team as and when necessary

Candidates should be available immediately or on short notice and will possess current management accounting experience and must be actively studying towards a formal accountancy qualification (CIMA or ACCA). Demonstrable experience in management accounting, financial reporting and a controls focussed approach will be essential together with the following skills:

• Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills and the ability to solve problems
• Advanced Excel skills
• Meticulous attention to detail, confidence, good judgement showing logical decision making and a hands-on approach in a dynamic environment
