We currently have a position available for a part time Porter on an ad-hoc basis in our family run Removals and Transport company based in Herne Bay, Kent. We are a well established local company carrying out Removals and Transport services since 1981. The position is ideally suited to someone who is either Self Employed and looking for additional days of work to fit in with other work or alternatively the job is being offered on a Part Time Zero Hour Contract. During busy periods there may be 40 hours or more per week but there will be quieter periods. Please only apply if this situation suits your circumstances.

Experience in Removals is an advantage but not essential as full training will be given, however, the job will involve heavy lifting and lots of walking so you will need to be physically fit. The job may also involve the dismantling and re-building of some household furniture, ie beds and wardrobes.

You will need to be tidy, presentable and courteous to our customers at all times and handle their possessions with the utmost of care. Standard uniform and boots/shoes will be provided.

Salary dependent on age and experience.

The number of hours worked each day can vary depending on the circumstances of each job, some days may be long requiring an early start and a late finish.
