Welder/Fabricator
Our client is an established engineering company based in Hastings and Battle, providing a wide range of welding, fabrication and control systems to commercial and domestic clients. Our client is currently looking for a Welder/Fabricator to join their busy and friendly team on a temporary basis.
The ideal Welder/Fabricator will have demonstrable experience within this industry, and be able to weld with TIG/MIG to a very high standard. As a Welder/Fabricator you will be working predominately on structural work and adhering to technical drawings. Due to the location of the vacancy you must be able to drive and have your own transport.
The ideal Welder/Fabricator will possess the following skills and qualities:
• Experience using Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) and Metal Inert Gas (MIG)
• Solid understanding of mathematics
• Understanding of measuring tools such as callipers, rules, feeler gauges, and pi tapes
• Be able to read mechanical drawings
• Be polite, informative and have a professional attitude towards customers and co-workers
• Must be a multi-tasking team player
Your duties as a Welder/Fabricator will include:
• Predominately working with structural work
• Evaluate all drawings and ensure implementation according to welding specifications
• Perform all welding work with the help of forming and cutting equipment
• Provide assistance to production processes and mould various fixtures
• Perform efficient welding of various metal objects
• Analyse diagrams and specifications and cut all metal accordingly
• Evaluate finished products and perform quality checks on products
Salary:
£10.50 per hour
Hours:
Monday – Friday, 8am -4.30pm
Temporary Position, 1-2 weeks work
