Due to the continued success of The Food Machinery Co Ltd and the move into new premises we are actively seeking a MULTI SKILLED TECHNICIAN / ENGINEER with electrical background to join our Company to work on our specialist range of industrial food processing and packaging machinery.

We supply specialist machinery to the Food Processing sector throughout the UK and Ireland with clients ranging from major PLC’s to smaller independent producers.

The successful applicant will have electrical experience with mechanical bias for working in the factory; experience of 3 Phase industrial control circuitry and PLC control systems will be an advantage. Welding, Fabrication, Turning and Milling will also be viewed favourably.

Whilst preference will be given to candidates with experience on machinery in the food environment, training will be provided for the successful candidate.

The ability to demonstrate a high degree of initiative is essential. Although the candidate will be Rochester based, occasional travel throughout the UK and Ireland, with occasional overnight stays will be required.

The candidate will require a full clean driving licence and due to the rural location of our factory, own transport will be required.

Salary package will be commensurate with experience with a negotiable salary. Working hours will be 5-day a week, 40 hours per week. PPE, Workplace Pension and 25-days paid leave plus statutory holidays are included.
