Eurotunnel manages, maintains and operates the Channel Tunnel Fixed Link Concession between Folkestone and Coquelles, France. Opened on 6 May 1994, the Fixed Link is a rolling motorway which transports passenger and commercial freight vehicles on board Shuttles across the Channel at 140kph, in 35 minutes. It also allows the running of third party passenger and railfreight trains. The advantages of the Channel Tunnel are security, reliability, speed, frequency and respect for the environment.

We are now seeking an experienced and highly motivated Technician to join our Works Train department. Working at our terminal in Folkestone you will be part of a team of workshop technicians employed to fault diagnose and correct electrical based problems on all types of works train equipment including rubber tyred vehicles, on track plant and locomotives.

Works Train Technicians work either a day or shift roster dependent upon their expertise. Day working positions require occasional shift work, whereas shift working positions require 24/7 cover. All positions participate in an on call rota.

You will ideally hold an electrical qualification to HND/HNC or equivalent. Previous experience of working in an electrical environment is essential. A lower qualification to BTEC Level 3 or equivalent may be considered with a minimum of 5 years work experience. Experience of domestic or industrial electrical maintenance is an advantage.
