Brompton Academy (part of The University of Kent Academies Trust) is seeking to appoint a motivated and committed individual to the role of Curriculum Assistant. This is a permanent role for 30 hours per week, 38 weeks per year.

You will be part of a team delivering and supporting learning activities, to identified students on a 1-1 basis and/or groups, either in the mainstream academy or the specialist communication centre. This will involve planning, preparing, delivering learning activities, monitoring, assessing, recording and reporting on student progress and development, for whole classes/small groups/individual students. Some students may require assistance with personal care, and experience of complex needs will be an advantage.

You will need to be well organised, confident and work well as part of a team. Previous experience in a similar role or classroom experience is preferred. Flexibility, resilience, excellent numeracy and literacy skills (with qualifications in English and Maths to GCSE grade C or above [or equivalent]) and good communications skills will be key for this role.

If successful, you will join our academy and trust wide supportive learning environment, characterised by open management, with the knowledge that you will enjoy the full support and care of our pragmatic (and down to earth) leadership team.

We have fantastic new buildings, with outstanding facilities, and Apple technologies for all, enabling us to enhance and support cutting edge learning strategies required for continuous improvement.
