Total Reward Group is a specialist consultancy arm within Gallagher Benefits Services and is actively seeking a talented Senior Reward Analyst to join the team.

Working across different sectors, spanning not for profit, public and private sector and everything in between, our work provides support to our clients enabling them to deliver industry leading reward interventions for their employees. This role will work hand in hand with the Consultants providing intelligence and insights to both new and existing client projects. The opportunity to develop your skills and capabilities across the whole spectrum of reward through working in partnership with highly experienced consultants is second to none, providing candidates with a real opportunity to become experts and to progress further in the Reward space.

Every day will be different and you will have an opportunity to own your own projects with the support of the Consultant team.

One day you may be working on designing incentive schemes, the next delivering pay or benefits benchmarking, the one constant will be the opportunity to learn and grow your career with us.

Job Purpose

Working within the reward consulting team the primary focus of this role will be on analysing reward data, in support of client facing consultants working for private, public and third sector organisations. The job holder also co-ordinates club surveys and ensures effective operational management of the Gallagher UK Benefits Survey.

Key Accountabilities

Research and Analysis
•Researching data sources, market practice and other benchmarking information from published salary surveys through to internet searches
•Data analysis (primarily Excel based), including interpreting results and developing recommendations across pay benchmarking, gender pay gap reporting and equal pay auditing
•Data insight – translating data into valued findings and understandable information, which is accessible and useful to clients
•Effective presentation of findings - formatting data into clear, accessible graphs, tables and infographics

Development and Design
•Providing input and evidence based advice in the development of pay progression systems and pay structures
•Cost modelling of different scenarios and similar impact assessments
•Drafting documents in Excel, Word or Powerpoint to present options and recommendations to clients

Survey Management
•Gallagher runs a high quality UK benefits survey, published annually in October and the job holder plays an important role in shaping design and continuous improvement of the survey, as well as encouraging participation
•Survey co-ordination – receiving, cleansing and checking inbound data and referring queries back to clients
•Survey analyses - establishing findings, trend data and other insights and thereafter working with colleagues in Gallagher Communications to present those findings in a visual and impactful manner
•Survey development – helping design new surveys as well as supporting the growth of existing surveys

Carry out duties following internal policies and procedures in accordance with applicable laws, rules, regulations, good governance and Gallagher’s shared values, in particular, putting clients at the heart of our business.

Client Interaction

Although the role will be primarily office based, there will be opportunities to attend client meetings, typically accompanied by a Senior Consultant, to:
•Take the brief for a client or prospect’s consultancy requirements
•Obtain the views of key stakeholders within the organisation e.g. in running focus groups
•Writing or helping with the preparation of proposals for client work (either following a preliminary meeting or telephone and email contact with the client or in response to an invitation to tender)
•Managing some benchmarking projects alone, albeit drawing on the close support of Consultants and Senior Consultants, as required.

Qualifications

Technical Knowledge
•Numerate, with high attention to detail and an aptitude for systems and data management
•Highly developed MS Office IT skills, but especially advanced level Excel sufficient to manipulate data to obtain impactful insights and trend analyses

Experience
•Proven experience of working as a Reward Analyst, as experience matters as much as the quality of your excel and wider analytical skills
Skills/other
•Administratively well organised, being a completer finisher with a considerable ability to prioritise tasks
•Resilient attitude, i.e. not easily blown off course by unpredictable work flows or tight timescales/deadlines
•A proactive “can do” attitude and a willingness to go the extra mile when required
•An inquisitive nature - interested in learning about different sectors, with the tenacity to research and mine data
•A responsive, client focused approach and the empathy to see the world from the client’s perspective
•The interpersonal skills and ability to develop effective working relationships with clients and persuade prospective clients to participate in our surveys
•Mature judgement, i.e. having sufficiently reliable insight into people and the workings of large organisations to know the right things to do and say
•Good written and oral presentation skills, sufficient to turn data into meaningful, easily accessible information

Eligibility Requirements
•Post holder must have the right to work in the UK.
