Blue Arrow have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Sous chef or Sous chef, in the Hythe area to enhance their career. Our client is a highly prestigious hotel based on the gorgeous seafront of Hythe. They are looking for an enthusiastic and ambitious Sous Chef to come and join their team bringing passion and quality with every meal they prepare. The role will be looking to work 48 hours a week which will include weekends, evenings and day shifts. Our client has multiple outlets including weddings and events, afternoon tea, Champagne Bar Tapas and also their One Rosette Restaurant. Having proven experience in these sectors and in a 4/5* hotel is essential for the role.
The Job Role;
* Ensuring that the Kitchen is ready for service in absence of the Head Chef
* Ensuring that service runs effectively and smoothly. delivering high standards at all times
* Maintaining the kitchen health and safety standards in conjunction with hygiene regulations
* Maintaining confidence at all times in all aspects of kitchen preperation
* Ensuring that the team work effectively and deliver the best products in their role
* filling in daily temperature and weekly cleaning sheets
The ideal Candidate will be
* Confident in their ability
* Have experience in a supervisory role
* Have excellent communication and organisational skills
* Able to work in a fast paced kitchen
* Have a real passion for food and cooking
* Ambitious in their career
* Have previous experience working in a 4/5* hotel
