Site Manager - Residential Heritage restoration

Our client is a well-established specialist building restoration contractor with multiple developments across the country and extensive experience working with Britain's built heritage.

They are now currently looking for a Site Manager to manage a £2million residential heritage restoration project in Cranbrook. The ideal candidate should have experience managing multi trade packages. A background in Structural Carpentry would be especially welcome.

Site Manager role responsibilities:
- You will be required to set up site control and organise labour and materials, communicate with the client at site level and generally ensure the smooth running and successful completion of the project
- Ensure that HSQ&E standards, operating processes, company policies and all legislative requirements are understood, implemented and adhered to at all times
- To control the flow of materials on the site, including stocktaking and any necessary returns.
- Advise on actual progress of the programme on site and highlight problem areas with staff at Head Office or other trades and sub-contractors
- Follow company guidelines in relation to accident and incident reporting procedures
- You will ensure compliance with the company's health and safety and environmental policies and procedures
- Review and approve risk assessments and method statements for all operations and ensure that all work is in accordance with method statements

As the Site Manager you will have:
- You will have gained circa 4+ years' experience in a similar role, ideally working for residential restoration or heritage projects, although this is not essential
- SMSTS and CSCS are essential
- Previous experience managing sites ranging from £1-£5m
- Have the correct CITB qualifications for the position of Site Manager
- Be able to control multiple subcontractor packages and direct labour
- Strong organisational skills with proven time management skills
