Trainee Technical Supervisor /Technical Supervisor

We are looking to recruit either a person with a desire to develop within the Technical function or a person that already has supervisory skills in a technical role. There is an expectation that the successful candidate will develop an interest in concrete technology and hence a career in the Technical department whilst maintaining knowledge of the day to day activities of a laboratory and the field technicians duties.

THE ROLES
• Develop an understanding of and operate technical control systems
• Operate Brett CUSUM control system
• Supervise the supply of VAP products
• Maintain BS8500/QSRMC test rates
• Site representation
• Supervision of technicians and their duties
• Laboratory calibration program supervision
• Conduct internal plant audits

THE REQUIREMENTS
• Construction industry experience desirable
• Qualifications in chemistry, geology, a construction related subject or concrete technology would be beneficial but full training & further education will be provided to the right candidate
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of Health and Safety practices
• Self-motivated, reliable individuals who are capable of working on their own initiative
• The desire to develop a career in a supervisory role in the technical department
• Clean current UK driving licence
• The desire to undertake education in concrete technology
