6 month contract
To undertake electrical engineering design for HVAC equipment. This will include reviewing and implementing client specifications into equipment requirements, document preparation to meet submission deadlines, coordination with suppliers of electrical equipment and components of packages as instructed.

Key duties and responsibilities

• Responsible for ensuring allocated tasks are conducted in a safe manner in accordance with applicable standards, company procedures/policies. Ensuring no activity by you or any colleague is conducted that may put any person at risk, directly or indirectly or cause any damage or pollution to the environment. Also, any allocated equipment, tools etc are used in a safe and correct manner and not subjected to misuse or abuse.
• To provide electrical engineering design.
• To be able to prepare, review and comment on wiring and connection diagrams, termination diagrams, motor data sheets, instrument schedules, I/O lists etc.
• To review ATEX documentation and ensure special requirements for installation are incorporated into the equipment design and drawings.
• To coordinate and oversee electrical equipment packages with suppliers which can include HVAC control panels and thyristor control panels.
• To review and comment on local skid mounted panels that form part of a suppliers equipment package.
• To review project specifications and applicable international and national standards to ensure requirements are incorporated in to the design.
• To raise technical queries to the Project Manager to resolve design issues and concerns.
• To attend internal, client and supplier meetings where necessary to discuss electrical matters on the project.
• To raise material take offs to purchase electrical equipment and components.
• To work closely with the Project Manager to ensure project deliverables are achieved in a timely manner
• To provide technical support on EC & I to Wozair engineers

Key Skills Required
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office package.
• Able to use AutoCAD (ideal but not essential).
• Personal planning and time management.
• Engineering degree or equivalent experience through experimental route i.e. time served, C & G, IEE.
• Experience of projects based on bespoke specifications preferably in the oil and gas industry.
• Knowledge and understanding of ATEX and incorporating requirements into an electrical design.
