We are looking for a Laboratory Technician for a client based in the Dover area. Must have proven experience within analytical chemistry. The Technician will be responsible for running extraction studies with analysis on a wide variety of analytical systems. A minimum of two years' experience with at least one of: GC-MS, LC-MS, LC-TOF, ICP-MS, GF-AAF or wet chemistry is required. A knowledge of GLP would be an advantage.
Key Responsibilities
*
Accurate analytical laboratory work
*
Preparation of samples for chemical analysis (HPLC, GCMS, GFAAF, etc.)
*
Method development and implementation
*
Analysis if fragmentation and other data
*
Maintenance of records of work
*
Research ISO, USP and ASTM test methods and standards.
*
Participate in qualification, calibration and maintenance programs
*
Develop test protocols in collaboration with colleagues and clients
*
Develop test reports in collaboration with colleagues and clients, working to the highest scientific and grammatical standards
*
Assist in laboratory cleaning and preparation
*
Accurately record test data
*
Maintain meticulous records
*
Understand and implement company quality systems and procedures
*
Comply with safe equipment and laboratory use
*
Follow Standard Operating procedures and suggest ways to improve processes and procedures
This is a permanent role, 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
