Are you a practical person? Ever thought of working in a college environment and passing on your practical skills and knowledge?
We want to recruit a self-motivated Technical Instructor (TI) to work with our Agricultural Engineering / Machinery Team, providing support and practical assistance to our teaching staff at our main site at Hadlow. You will be required to give practical support in and help maintain the areas of the Workshop and Machinery resources.
The College offers many good employment benefits including generous holiday entitlement of 30 days (excluding Bank Holidays), pension scheme, free parking and many on-site benefits and facilities. The college also will support an unqualified TI with a reduced Instructor commitment so you can enrol onto the in-house initial teacher training course.
This job role also offers great opportunities as first steps into the teaching profession.
Continuous Professional Development (CPD) opportunities would be supported by the college to achieve industry qualifications like Rough Terrain Telescopic Forklift Operator Licence, Masted Forklift Operator Licence, Abrasive Wheel Licence and a Tractor Driving and Related Operations qualification.
The successful applicant will be a practical minded person with a keen interest in machinery workshops and agriculture. This is a full time post working 37 hours per week.
Temporary accommodation may be available to anybody looking to relocate to the area.
