We are looking for an experienced and creative mental health clinician to join our growing team of mental health practitioners and counsellors to work with us to deliver the best student experience and support for those who become unwell during their studies.

CCCU are innovating the way we support students in mental health crisis, and the way we follow up and support students during their time at University.

This position will play a key lead role in supporting students who have become unwell and are in crisis. You will work with the team and students to co-produce and innovate crisis support and follow up.

You will ensure students are directed to the correct NHS services to support their mental health needs, and assist them to seek help.

The successful applicant will be required to work flexible hours, including in the evenings and weekends, and will be responsible for managing, supporting and developing our out of hours offer to students.

We would love to hear from you if you are an experienced Community Psychiatric Nurse, Occupational Therapist, Social Worker or Clinical Psychologist - with proven skills in managing clinical risk and in crisis management, with good therapeutic skills in engagement and support.

The successful candidate with work closely alongside the operational team leader, and will report to the mental wellbeing services manager. Experience of managing and supervising staff is important for the role.

Knowledge of existing disability legislation and support for students within a Higher Education establishment and experience of advising staff on the impact of mental health difficulties would be advantageous.
