Quality Manager
Location: Broadstairs
Salary: £38,000 - £45,000 Per Annum DOE

Job Description
Our client is a large manufacturing firm with a sterling reputation across the globe and they are looking for a quality manager to improve their manufacturing processes and ensure that everything meets their extensive ISO standards.
Your role will be to build and maintain a consistent deliberate quality across the whole organisation. You will understand customer needs and ISO certification requirements to develop effective quality control processes in line with industry standards and Aerospace requirements. Communication is a big part of the role as you will have substantial contact with suppliers and customers and will act as a key representative of the Company.
This is a role with good career progression and perfect for establishing your reputation amongst a globally recognised player in their industry.
Your Responsibilities
* Ensure all staff onsite are working safely.
* Lead and support the maintenance of ISO14001 and ISO18001.
* Ensure all staff skills are up to date, and training plans are being developed and executed
* Ensure production schedule and delivery dates are adhered too.
* Maintain correct levels of labour to meet testing schedule.
* Ensure all processes are effective and supporting the requirements of AS9100 certification.
* Creation and support of Quality objectives linked to overall site strategy.
* Frequent reviews of performance against objectives.
* Perform and ensure internal audits/reviews are sticking to schedule
* Capture process data where required and analyse for adherence to customer and spec limits
* Calibration of tooling and equipment
Essential Skills, Knowledge and Experience
* BSc in a science related discipline and/or significant work experience within a technical and quality led business e.g. Aerospace/Automotive/Pharmaceutical manufacturer.
* Knowledge and experience of achieving and maintaining the following accreditations: ISO9001, AS9100, ISO14001, ISO18001.
* Auditor and/or lead auditor trained essential
* Any memberships or registrations to recognised bodies preferable
* Extensive managerial experience in these industries highly desirable
* Confident management skills
* Excellent project management skills (preferably using Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing frameworks)
* Quick, adaptive problem solving
