Web Developer - Broadstairs
We are seeking a skilled and experiences web developer to join a global manufacturer with significant plans for the future.
The Role
You will provide programming, design, analysis, training and project management services for the development and maintenance of Web and IT based systems. You will work closely with other members of the IT department heaping provide maintenance, updates and support alongside troubleshooting and fixing bugs.
Our client is looking for someone who can really hit the ground running and take charge of their workload effectively. You will manage development projects through all stages of the Software Development Life Cycle, producing relevant documentation at each stage and preparing training manuals for users. You will produce detailed specifications and write program code, testing programs before deployment.
With a degree in a related subject or the equivalent demonstrable experience, you will have a comprehensive, up-to-date knowledge of web application development using data from back-end databases. Expertise and ability to use current open source software (PHP, HTML, Java, Javascript, Linux etc.) is essential, with knowledge of IBM Domino and XPages an advantage.
In addition, you will have strong project management & planning skills, be able to build key relationships and effectively communicate at all levels. The role requires working closely with the entire IT team and end users within the business, as well as external suppliers, to ensure that business software supports and contributes to business goals.

* Previous Experience in a Web Development or IT Development role essential
* Degree in an appropriate subject essential
* Must be comfortable with a range of programming languages and front-end frameworks (PHP, HTML/CSS, Java, Javascript, etc)
* Working knowledge of back-end database usage, development and languages (C, C++, etc)
* Knowledge of IBM Domino and XPages an advantage (but not essential)
* Excellent communication skills
* Detail Orientated
* Strong project management skills
