Our client is a Kent based Academy. They have an exciting opening for a Director of HR, this could be someone already operating at this level or potentially a promising HR manager.

At this exciting time of our growth and development, they are looking to find an experienced HR professional who shares their passion for education and one that can drive forward the HR provision.

This is a fantastic opportunity for the right individual to be in at the start of something big and shape a service that is robust, provides challenge, supports the wellbeing of their staff and more generally, promotes the achievements of the Academy.

The successful candidate will therefore be an outstanding, qualified professional with a proven track record of leading HR teams. You must share the values and ethos of the Academy and have a strong commitment to improving the outcomes for all their children.

We are looking for someone who is CIPD qualified and has proven experience within the education sector.

The Director of HR will report directly to the COO of the trust, but would also work alongside the Director of Finance, and with the Deputy Chief Executive as well as the Academy Principal and Leadership team.

In your role as Director of HR you would lead a team of four direct reports. You will take on various pieces of case work which will include things such as staff recruitment/retention, disciplinaries, training, implementation of new systems/processes including payroll.

Our client has requested a graduate as a prerequisite.

The salary on offer is £40,000 - £50,000 per annum dependent on experience, however there could be some flexibility for exceptional candidates

There is also the possibility of this role being worked over 4 days in term time and 3 days during the holidays.
