Head of Credit Control
City of London
c£65,000 to £85,000

About the Role:
Effectively manage and maintain control over the organisation's debt position ensuring the timely collection of debts, accurate reporting and continuous improvement of policies and procedures in support of the relevant processes. In turn to oversee the internal broker capability and to maintain robust oversight of third party service providers in relation to the associated outsourced services across the whole remit.

Main Responsibilities:
·Line management of the Credit Control technical experts in the London operation, with emphasis on ongoing team coaching development and training so as to ensure a 'centre of excellence' is maintained.
·Secure ongoing achievement of KPIs/SLAs set across the teams, with active deployment of corrective plans in the event of any breaches.
·Act as a point of referral and escalation for own teams and the wider business in the context of credit control and internal broker related activities.
·Ensure an effective internal and external query management/referrals mechanism is in place and maintained across the teams to support all stakeholders.
·Govern, control and relationship manage associated outsourced service providers to secure maximum value from the relevant partnership agreements.
·Provide high quality reporting and analysis to all stakeholders across the business, highlighting issues/escalations in a timely and effective manner.
·Monitor adherence to policies and procedures, specifically Credit Management Policy.
·Represent the function at all relevant committees providing comprehensive inputs and updates on all key areas.
·Identify, design and implement process and reporting improvements to enhance overall operational efficiency/reduce aged debt profile.
·Attend any Lloyd's or Market group meetings as required.

Skills and Experience:
·Insurance / Lloyd's experience
·Previous experience of effectively managing credit control and internal broker processes in a Lloyd's Managing Agent (minimum 3 year's)
·An understanding of delegated authority
·Basic understanding of bordereaux management and / or facility credit control
·Previous experience in the oversight of outsourced functions
·Strong communication and relationship management
·Excellent people management and development
·Strong data analysis and problem solving
·Proven track record in operational remediation/improvement planning.
·Proven track record in sustained delivery of strong operational performance to KPIs and SLAs
·Leads by example and empowers team to perform at the highest level through direction, delegation and effective management.
