I am currently working with a highly innovative and forward thinking company who operate within the commodities sector. Established in 2001 my client have experienced continued to growth, with state of the art facilities and multiple locations throughout Europe. My client provide a range of solutions to enable the smooth transportation of goods, ensuring they provide a service that is unrivalled within the sector.
During the last 15 years there has been a greater interest in the impact of companies daily operations on the environment, my client have used this as fuel to design a variety of innovative solutions and services to a diverse client portfolio across Europe.
As a result of this growth, my client is looking for a Commodities Trader to join the UK division of the business, to help drive the company forward into its next phase of development. They are seeking an individual with drive, determination and confidence, alongside excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise with multiple points of contact and cope under pressure within this niche, yet competitive industry.
Working closely with the UK Procurement Manager you will be developing your knowledge and understanding of the sector and the role, which is both office and field based – meeting with clients to build long-term relationships. This role combines sales and procurement, working hard to secure the best rates which are largely dependent on the market rate – demonstrating the importance of relationship management ability to work with numbers!
