Our client based in Ashford is looking for a Workshop Supervisor for their busy workshop.
Salary: £30,000 to £34,000
Brief overview of duties and responsibilities:
To be the first point of contact for workshop personnel, Workshop Controller and Customer Service Team
To ensure service and repairs are carried out to the highest quality standards, achieving total customer satisfaction
To ensure efficient workshop use of materials, equipment and labour resources
To accurately and skilfully undertake the MOT, repair and servicing of motor vehicles, whilst detecting and diagnosing any additional faults for further repair, ensuring all work is completed safely and to the customer’s satisfaction
To oversee the general administration of the MOT bay operations
To actively retain all available business by consulting and co-operating with the Customer Service Team and Line Manager
To work effectively with the Customer Service Team, Workshop and MOT Teams to ensure industry-leading standards of customer care and satisfaction at all times
To actively commit to carrying on your own personal development
Skills Required:
NVQ level 3 or equivalent standard
Extensive experience in a motor vehicle workshop
Hold clean full UK drivers license
Strong communication skills and an ability to liaise with people on all levels
Excellent problem-solving skills with great attention to detail and a persistence to reaching a resolution
Ability to use own initiative and judgement in the time allowed with minimal supervision
Highly organised and capable of multi-tasking to meet deadlines
"Customer care" mentality to help promote the professionalism of the Customer Service Team
Ability to build effective work teams
Certain amount of flexibility e.g. a willingness to work overtime when required
Ability to learn new software efficiently and effectively
