Events Manager
Tunbridge Wells
£25,000-29,000 depending on experience, coupled with an excellent benefits package
My client is an expanding hospitality and insurance group who are renowned for their staff reward and recognition and are in The Times Top 30 Big Companies to work for.
In this role you will be working within the Marketing and Sale team. The ideal candidate would be a flamboyant and spirited commercial professional who will be responsible for lead generation, servicing requests an ensuring that we win each opportunity.
This is an exciting role in Hospitality, working for the first 5 star Hotel in Tunbridge Wells.
Key Responsibilities:
* Take responsibility for the implementation of strategies and techniques necessary for achieving the sales targets and organisational objectives
* Map potential customers and generate leads for the organisation
* Responsible for not only selling but also maintaining and improving relationships with existing client base
* You will be required to meet clients on multiple occasions and present to them face-to-face (both onsite and offsite as appropriate)
* Identification and participate at relevant network events
* Ensure all activity is tracked and recorded within the customer database
* Represent the organisation at trade shows and exhibitions (evening and weekend work will be necessary)
* To undertake other reasonable responsibilities and projects as instructed by their line manager and department head
* Where applicable, to adhere to Company processes with regard to FCA compliance and Treating Customers Fairly
Essential Skills/Characteristics
* Experience in hospitality industry is desired
* You listen more than speak, getting an understanding of the customer's needs and then finding a solution. Great sales people always ask their clients why they want something done.
* Always endeavor to over deliver and not over promise, we want to ensure that customer service is never compromised.
* Attention to detail
* An ability to manage time effectively.
* A want to build a network locally to encourage repeat business
Desirable Skills
* Project management experience (with sales focus)
* Sales experience within a relevant industry (Leisure / Hospitality)
* Working within the Sales & Marketing department an understanding of marketing would be beneficial
