Role Summary:
Reporting to the Distribution Manager, your main responsibilities will be to carry out a range of activities in the warehouse areas as required in order to ensure that operational objectives and standards are achieved in a fully effective and efficient manner.

Key responsibilities include:

• Daily communications with hauliers for booking of transport
• Dealing with drivers at the office window i.e. Making sure they hand keys to the office, given the relevant paperwork, wearing the correct PPE
• Carry out various tasks effectively and efficiently as part of a close-knit team
• Assist and support the warehouse staff to maximise effectiveness and efficiency
• Process related paperwork to ensure accurate recording of movements and ensuring vehicles depart site with the correct product
• Assist and support the department with other distribution tasks including order assembly, loading and unloading vehicles, waste disposal, bailing and quality checks
• Assist in other Operational areas when required

Skills, know-how and experience required:

• Previous experience within a similar environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Articulate, professional and confident
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Self-motivated and flexible
• Able to prioritise in a fast-paced environment
